I wear a mask to school each day

A mask which covers everything

It covers the pain I feel inside

The pain that makes me want to die

My mask is decorated with smiles and laughs

They cant see beyond my hair

trying to make sense of what was never meant to be

trying so hard to be true to me

trying to keep what should be lost
